The challenge
When you run a small business, marketing can easily become the thing you squeeze in around everything else. Tom is busy training clients and building his business, so the challenge was to give his social media the attention it deserved without adding another job to his day. We wanted his online presence to feel like an extension of the service he offers: professional, approachable and genuinely useful to people considering personal training.
My approach
I work directly with Tom on the ongoing marketing, from thinking up content ideas to creating posts, editing Reels and getting everything ready to publish. I also run paid advertising to put his services in front of more potential clients and encourage enquiries. The important part is making the organic content and advertising work together, rather than treating them as separate tasks. It is hands-on support that can adapt to what is happening in the business, with a clear focus on helping Tom spend more time with clients and less time worrying about what to post next.
The outcome
Tom's following has grown across his social platforms, and the marketing has generated enquiries from people interested in his training services. We haven't put a verified number against those enquiries or the audience growth, so I would rather be clear about what we know than dress it up with a percentage. For me, the value of this project is in showing what practical, ongoing marketing support can look like for a small business: consistent content, purposeful advertising and someone taking responsibility for getting the work done.
